Dear Parent,

We have been so blessed to have such a successful Grace Place program this Fall. Now, as we look forward to our Winter session beginning January 4, we are getting ready for Winter Extreme! As many as 35 children have joined us for Grace Place, and we’re excited to welcome even more as we move into 2012.

New registration form

Grace Place is committed to a high degree of safety when it comes to your kids. That’s why we’re taking more steps to ensure that your children are safe when they are with us. In the next few weeks, we will:

• Perform background checks on all adults who are in positions of trust with children,
• Implement a check-in and check-out system so that kids are only dismissed to you, someone you know, or allowed to walk home only with your permission,
• Implement a name badge system so that all kids and adults can be easily identified, and
• Collect basic medical and contact information in case of an emergency.

As part of this effort, we request that you take a few minutes to fill out a new, paper registration form. Please have your child bring this form with them the first time they attend Grace Place.

Weather cancellations

With winter comes the possibility of needing to cancel Grace Place due to weather. If a weather cancellation becomes necessary, it will be announced on radio station KUVR (1380 AM) and at GracePlaceHoldrege.com.
